The Municipality of Clarington encourages competition among our suppliers in order to maximize savings for taxpayers. Our bidding process is transparent and equitable, ensuring fairness among bidders.

We have a variety of bidding procedures in place to ensure openness and accountability. The Municipality is committed to safeguarding the regulations set out in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) as it pertains to any purchases or business transactions that Clarington is involved in. These regulations need to be considered by vendors and suppliers looking to do business with the Municipality.

Legislation states that all contractors providing goods, services or construction to the Municipality shall ensure their employees and/ or subcontractors are trained on providing accessible customer services. Training can be as simple as completing one of the several online programs available at no cost.

Bid opportunities are posted at bids.clarington.net. Bidders can create a free account to register for bid opportunities.
