The Municipality of Clarington establishes advisory committees and boards to fulfil a variety of mandates and to make recommendations to Council. Most committees include members of the public, as well as members of Council. Volunteering to sit on an advisory board or committee is one of the many ways residents can serve their community.
Most committees are appointed for the same four year term as Council. Shortly after the municipal election, we advertise for appointments to boards and committees. Occasionally, vacancies occur during the four-year term.
We encourage those interested in sitting on a board or committee to submit an application throughout the year. We will contact you if a vacancy occurs. You are responsible to ensure that the Municipal Clerk's Office has received your application. Council will appoint qualified applicants to vacancies based on the application submitted. We will notify all applicants of the final decision by mail.
Council will be considering applications (resume to be included) to the following:

|Samuel Wilmot Nature Area Management Advisory Committee||To assist the municipality and Ministry of Natural Resources in the management of the Samuel Wilmot Nature Area.||1||Apply Now (PDF)|
